Good to know

Legal basis: Trademarks Act, 2009, the 2015 amendment and the applicable rules. The government authority is the Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (DPDT). Classes are chosen according to WIPO's Nice Classification.

  • Although the law sets time limits, the DPDT process takes longer in practice. We therefore do not guarantee registration within a set number of days; we tell you the timeline based on the status of each application.
  • If court proceedings or legal representation are needed, we coordinate with a qualified lawyer.

What you receive: search results, copy and number of the filed application, objection replies and registration certificate.
